Marriott International Signs Agreement to Bring St. Regis Hotels & Resorts to Kapalua Bay, Hawai’i

Marriott International has entered into an agreement with Kemmons Wilson Hospitality Partners to manage The Resort at Kapalua Bay, a 25-acre luxury oceanfront property on Maui’s northwest coast. Beginning March 14, 2026, Marriott will oversee operations while ownership remains unchanged, and the resort will continue welcoming guests throughout its transition. The property will join the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio immediately and is slated to be rebranded under St. Regis Hotels & Resorts following a renovation expected to be completed in 2027. The resort features 146 expansive, multi-bedroom ocean-view residences and premium amenities, positioning it as a top-tier luxury destination within the Kapalua community. This move reflects Marriott’s continued expansion of its luxury portfolio in Hawaii, where it currently operates approximately 30 properties with additional developments underway.
