Kaulig Capital participated in the Company’s $48 million capital raise in 2020. The round was lead by Main Street Advisors and SC.Holdings. The raise included athlete-investors such as Seth Curry, Anthony Davis, Rickie Fowler, DeAndre Jordan, Jarvis Landry, Patrick Mahomes, Christian McCaffrey, Ja Morant, Naomi Osaka, Chris Paul, Doc Rivers, Ben Simmons, Kelly Slater, Fernando Tatís Jr, J.J. Watt, Russell Westbrook, and Trae Young.
In July 2021, Hyperice announced the acquisition of Core, a mental wellness company. The acquisition highlights Hyperice’s commitment to mental wellness as a pillar to overall health, performance, recovery and self-care.
Prior to the raise, the Kaulig Capital team established a relationship with SC.Holdings’ founder Jason Stein as well as Eastbridge Group, a family holding company with $1.5B in AUM. Kaulig Capital continues to work with SC.Holdings on various investment opportunities including Athletic Greens and Certified Collectibles Group (CCG).
In February 2020, Hyperice announced that the Company is the designated official recovery technology partner of Kaulig Racing. The racing team was equipped with the full suite of Hyperice recovery products for race training, preparation and race-day needs. Hyperice sponsored Kaz Grala of Kaulig Racing in the 2021 Daytona 500.
