LA Golf was founded by Reed Dickens, who was the founding CEO of Marucci Sports, who also partnered with the greatest players in the game to dethrone legacy incumbents Louisville Slugger and Easton. Kaulig Capital was introduced to Reed through its vast network in the Sports and Entertainment industries. This investment closed just weeks after the Kaulig Companies announced it would become the new title sponsor of the PGA TOUR Champions event at Firestone Country Club (previously the Bridgestone Senior Players Championship).
