Safety First: Canyon Shakes Hands With Volkswagen To Develop the “Connected” Roadlite:ON V2X

Canyon unveiled the Roadlite:ON V2X, a connected e-bike concept designed to improve cyclist safety through vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication technology. Developed in partnership with Volkswagen, the system allows the bike to communicate with compatible vehicles and warn riders of potential hazards, even those not yet visible. Built on Canyon’s award-winning Roadlite: ON platform, the bike also features Bosch’s latest Hub Line motor, integrated lighting, hydraulic disc brakes, and haptic alerts. Canyon hopes the technology will help address rising cyclist fatalities, but acknowledges widespread adoption by other manufacturers will be essential for the system to reach its full potential.
