Gridiron Capital has announced an investment in Weed Man, North America’s largest lawn care franchisor, to accelerate the company’s next stage of growth. Founded in 1970 as a single Ontario location, Weed Man now serves more than 800,000 households across about 1,000 exclusive territories in 39 U.S. states and 10 Canadian provinces. It runs a model that pairs corporate-owned branches with franchisee-owned locations, supported by centralized training, marketing, and proprietary technology. Gridiron plans to use its operational resources to support customer acquisition and retention, geographic expansion, and continued investment in the franchise network, building on its experience with residential services businesses.
